Demo Example

Before reading this article, it is recommended that you read the Multidimensional Model first.

Here are two demo models that are present throughout the EuclidOLAP documentation, and query examples in other documents are based on these two demo models.
These demo models involve four dimensions, details of which are provided in the following table:

Dimension name	Description
Date	The Date dimension has two hierarchies, a default hierarchy named Calendar based on calendar year and month structure, and a Financial hierarchy organized according to fiscal year. > Date dimension detailed structure
Aircraft Models	The Aircraft Models dimension has two hierarchies, a default hierarchy with the same dimension name that categorizes based on aircraft manufacturers, and a hierarchy named 'Aircraft Size' that categorizes by aircraft sizes. > Aircraft Models dimension detailed structure
Classes of Service	The Classes of Service dimension has only one default hierarchy, which has the same name as the dimension and is also 'Classes of Service'. > Classes of Service dimension detailed structure
Region	The Region dimension has only one default hierarchy, which has the same name as the dimension and is also 'Region'. > Region dimension detailed structure

This is the turnover data model of Airline A, this cube associates three dimensions of Classes of Service, Aircraft Models and Date, each dimension only plays one dimension role, each dimension role has the same name as the corresponding dimension, this cube has two measures Revenue and Cost.

This is the turnover data model of Airline B, this cube correlates four dimensions of Classes of Service, Aircraft Models, Date and Region, each dimension only plays one dimension role except the Region dimension, the Region dimension plays two roles, and this cube has two measures Revenue and Cost.
